Facial lines appear naturally as we age. Factors such as stress, poor diet and sun damage can speed up the aging process until deep lines and wrinkles begin to set in. Dysport, Botox or Jeuveau is a quick 30 minute treatment that is FDA approved and works beneath the surface and temporarily reduces the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe lines in adults – to help them look better. Some patients receiving treatment report the injections feel like a pinch. You may begin to notice a visible smoothing lines within 3-7 days, with results lasting up to 3-5 months for moderate to severe lines. This is not a permanent treatment. If you discontinue treatment the moderate to severe lines will gradually return.

What is Profound RF?

It combines microneedling and radiofrequency technologies for an advanced skin tightening and rejuvenating effect. It’s designed to stimulate new elastin, collagen and hyaluronic acid – the critical building blocks that keep the skin smooth and elastic.

Radiofrequency devices (RF) use groundbreaking technology for tightening up the skin. Radiofrequency is commonly referred to as a treatment that can have a ‘shrink-wrapping’ effect. Typically, it does this by heating the lower layers of the skin (the dermis) to 42 degrees C, but the Profound RF penetrates much deeper into the facial tissues heating them to 67 degrees C, therefore stimulating a much stronger response.

The radiofrequency energy also makes the skin believe it’s injured, kickstarting lazy collagen and elastin into frenetic activity and encouraging growth factors and new collagen to heal the perceived wounds. In due course, this will show up on the surface as smoother, firmer and tighter skin.

When radiofrequency is combined with microneedling, as it is with this device, the heat is delivered much deeper into the skin, promoting further cell regeneration.

The Profound RF can also target and melt the fat pad under the chin to give a more refined contour to the jawline. Not only will this lift the face, but it also addresses fine lines, wrinkles and textural concerns.

The Profound RF isn’t your usual skin tightening treatment – it’s doctor-led and requires approximately one week of downtime as the skin heals. However, as a one-off treatment that produces results lasting several years, this is expected.

Firstly, the Profound RF is four times more powerful than the Morpheus8. It delivers energy deeper into the tissues and for a longer amount of time, allowing us to achieve optimum protein denaturation within one single treatment. This means that the Profound RF stimulates the production of elastin by about five-fold, we double collagen levels in the skin and dramatically increase hyaluronic acid levels.

Clinically, this translates into tighter skin that’s regained its youthful bounce, lifting of the jowls, significantly reduced lines and wrinkles, and the Profound RF can even target the fat pad under the chin to lift and refine the jawline.

Profound RF studies show a remarkable 100% response rate for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and a 95% response rate for improving sagging skin. It’s a one-off treatment that can deliver 1/3 of a facelift result in a single treatment, and results last for several years.

It’s not only ideal for a patient in their 30-40’s as a way of preventing wrinkling and volume loss from ensuing, but also ideal for that patient who is in their 50-70s as a way of treating wrinkles and skin laxity that has already ensued. The results typically last 2-5 years.

Elastin is a protein that coils and recoils like a spring within the elastic fibers of connective tissue in the body – like your skin. Elastin is what makes your skin, heart, lungs and many other tissues elastic so that they can get snap back into shape after stretching or contracting.

Elastin works together in your skin with collagen. Elastin provides elasticity and collagen (another protein in your skin) provides structure to keep your skin smooth and firm.

Elastin is normally no longer made after puberty and aging begins. In order to build new elastin, you need to cause a certain amount of damage to the skin by heating for example, so that the elastin starts to break down. Then a healing process can begin to build new elastin.

Starting in our mid 20’s, elastin starts to break down, becoming less elastin and losing its spring. think of a lumpy mattress as the springs become old and lose their ability to recoil.

Profound is a clinically-proven* treatment that builds elastin and collagen. By carefully heating the skin’s elastin and collagen to an exact temperature for an exact amount of time, Profound leads to the creation of new elastin and collagen to repair aging skin.

Where Can the Treatment Be Used?

This treatment method will help with the correction of cellulite. So, if there are areas on your body where you have stubborn cellulite and you haven’t had any success in reducing the appearance, this is one method that may improve or completely correct the problem.

Profound® RF skin care treatment can be used just about anywhere on your body. So if you have issues in specific areas chances are it is safe for it to be treated. Everywhere on your face can be treated. So whether you want to improve forehead lines, smile lines, wrinkles around your eyes, droopy jowls or sagging cheek skin, your entire face can be addressed.

The treatment can target cellulite, regardless of where it might be located on your body.

Common areas include:

  • Stomach

  • Thighs

  • Buttocks

However, if you have cellulite on your arms, legs, or anywhere else, it can be treated.

How Many Treatments Are Required?

Unlike other skincare treatment options, Profound® generally only requires one. You do not need to schedule out secondary treatments after your skin heals. Due to this, you do not need to schedule multiple visits. It can take several weeks if not a few months for the full extent of the treatment to be achieved. However, you do not need to schedule secondary appointments.

Generally, patients will begin to see noticeable textural improvements between six and eight weeks. From there, final results will settle in usually around three to six months. Each person is a bit different, so your experience will not be the same as the next person.

Patients should expect 1 week of social downtime, with swelling and bruising. Our pretreatment protocol will keep these side effects to a minimum, but 100% of patients should expect swelling and bruising. I personally feel downtime is a sign of efficacy. If you find a device that claims similar results with no downtime, I would reconsider. The device is also associated with some pain, so we will be required to numb topically and locally prior to the treatment. Another fact that could be considered a disadvantage is that it takes 3-6 months to see the results from the treatment. The intricate nature of the proteins that are involved in causing the improvement will take time to do their work. I like a slow and steady improvement, and my patients seem to feel the same.

Who is not a candidate:

  • Anyone on blood thinner, including aspirin, NSAIDS, baby aspirin (if these cannot be stopped for one week ahead)

  • Heart arrhythmia

  • Pacemaker

  • Defibrillator

  • Collagen vascular disease

  • Significant wound healing problems, including frequent keloid formation

  • Immunosuppressed patients

I like to call Platelet-Rich Fibrin (PRF) the fountain of youth and it is my personal favorite.

ezPRF Centrifuge)

Not only does EZPRF contain more platelets per mcL, it also has leukocytes (WBC) & mesenchymal stem cells!

We could also call it the "Platelet, Leukocyte & Mesenchymal-stem-cells Concentrate”, but that would be a bit long, wouldn’t it? (#PLMC)

The fact that the plasma actually clots into fibrin allows for a much slower release of the Growth factor and cytokines.

We have more cells, resulting in more GFs, kept alive longer and released for a much longer period of time.

What Is PRF?

PRF, or platelet-rich fibrin, is the next generation treatment of platelet concentrate. PRF is a fibrin matrix comprised of platelet cytokines, growth factors and cells used to help promote skin rejuvenation, hair growth and wound healing.

How Is PRF Different From Traditional Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)?

Because there is no anticoagulant in the tube that the blood is collected, the plasma actually forms a platelet and white blood cell-rich fibrin scaffold once injected into the treatment area. The fibrin clot allows for a much slower and longer release of the growth factors and cytokines (up to 1 week versus few hours with PRP), again resulting in more clinical results.

Hence, PRF contain more platelets per mcL than PRP. Additionally, PRF also has leukocytes (WBC) & mesenchymal stem cells, unlike PRP, resulting in more potential clinical results.

How Does PRF Work?

Fibrin is a biological scaffold that forms in response to an injury anywhere in the body. Platelets circulating in the blood will bind to a scaffold of fibrin. When platelets bind to the fibrin scaffold, they become activated and release growth factors, which start the wound healing process by creating new skin cells, collagen and blood vessels. By injecting PRF into an area on the face or scalp, a controlled inflammatory response is created, which kick starts new cell growth and collagen production.

How Is PRF Used?

PRF is used to address many of the same issues as PRP, but PRF releases growth factors for much longer, up to one week, versus PRP which releases growth factors for few hours. This means that PRF could have better longer-term benefits. The growth factors are what stimulate the stem cells to improve collagen and elastin in the skin. The platelets in PRF are thought to be more robust than those in PRP, and to therefore promote faster healing.

The prepared PRF is immediately ready for injection into the face to fill facial folds and wrinkles, to plump the hollows under the eyes and dark circles, and to improve skin tone and texture. The PRF can also be injected into the scalp to aid with hair restoration and growth.

How Does PRF Treat The Undereye Loose Skin And Dark Circles?

The skin under the eyes is one of the thinnest skin on our body. It can be one of the first areas that show signs of aging.  PRF is one of the ideal treatments that improves this area and can be a better option than heat-based skin tightening devices.

PRF can also enhance the results of fillers under the eyes. Injecting fillers under the eyes, can instantly improve the hollowness under the eyes and is a fabulous treatment to instantly rejuvenate this area. However, too much fillers under the eyes can make the eyes look puffy or cause a bluish tinge if injected too superficially. Also, it can be very difficult to treat the dark circles only with fillers. Injecting PRF in additional to the fillers can significantly enhance the results of the fillers by tightening the loose skin under the eyes and improving the dark circles.

How long does PRF last?

Long-term effects, such as skin tightening, collagen production and enhanced skin quality, may take up to three to four months to be noticed and can last from six to 12 months. The visibility of expected benefits and results of the PRF treatment is typically seen after six weeks from initial treatment.

Your comfort is always key for me.

I use a very strong topical anesthetic

to help manage your discomfort even more.

HA is an important component of the skin and connective tissues, as it holds in moisture and keeps the skin hydrated. Over time, though, the natural concentration of HA, collagen and elastin in the body lessens, causing the skin to thin and lose its support structure.

The skin is comprised of three major layers. The top layer is the epidermis and contains skin cells. The middle layer is the dermis and contains both collagen and elastin. Collagen provides support to the skin while elastin provides strength and flexibility. The bottom layer is the subcutaneous and contains fat tissue. The subcutaneous supports the two layers above

You can expect some swelling and potentially some mild bruising around your injection sites for the first few days following your appointment. Gently applying a cold compress and taking

tablets will speed your healing process along.

The Pout Medical Aesthetics is upgrading the traditional platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) procedure for facial aesthetic rejuvenation with a state-of-the-art technique that can enhance and lengthen the results.

It's all you

Considering going 100% natural with BIOLOGICAL PRF FILLER?

PRF the most advanced regenerative science in facial aesthetics.

Bio-Filler technology is 100% all-natural way to use PRF (Platelet Rich Fibrin) as a natural biological filler (Bio-Filler).

Liquid Facelift with Bio Plasma Filler, one of my most favorite treatments and here is why

Understand the aging process

Changes to the skin, fat, muscle, and bone are all part of the natural facial aging process. When one of these layers begin to change, a domino effect starts changing the other layers.

Aging skin naturally loses collagen, elasticity, and volume. The dermis thins and the fibroblast population declines, reducing the production of collagen and hyaluronic acid. As collagen decreases skin laxity and wrinkling become apparent. Our skin also loses moisture because the hydrophilic hyaluronic acid concentration declines.Consequently, the dermis loses turgidity, resulting in volume loss and unesthetic changes.

Collagen is the main structural protein found in the skin. As we age, the dermis (the middle layer of skin) thins due to collagen loss. Starting at the age of 20 collagen production drops around 1% in the dermis per year, and by the mid-30s the decrease is visible via a duller complexion, thinner skin and wrinkles.

Collagen depletion speeds up in women during menopause. There is no way to estimate exactly how much collagen is lost at a given age because many factors play into its depletion. Someone with a diet high in sugar that smokes and spends lots of time in the sun will have less healthy collagen than someone who uses proper skincare, eats a well-balanced diet and maintains a healthy lifestyle. Elastin, which helps your skin “bounce back” also thins with age. Without it’s ability to maintain structure, thinning skin forms and retains wrinkles and imprinted lines more easily.

As we age, the organized groups of fat in the face (known as fat pads) begin to shrink and fall. This causes the fat pads to shift around, and make bony features, lines, and wrinkles more visible. This is most commonly observed under the eyes as “bags” begin to form with age.

As our fat pads begin to fall, our skull is also changing shape. The craniofacial skeleton changes because of bone expansion and bone resorption. The resorption of bone causes it to thin, removing structural support for the overlying tissues. This loss of support is characterized by sagging and droopy skin. This is commonly observed around the eyes, as the bone shape transforms from oval to square, or in the jawline as it elongates and loses its prominence.

In order to rejuvenate a face we need concentrate PRF & Albumin (Albumin is the most abundant circulating protein which carries various substances throughout your body, including hormones, vitamins, and enzymes).

The wound healing brings 0.5% to 0.2% Mesenchymal Stem Cells

which mobilizes Growth and Stem cells most commonly from peripheral blood, unbiblical cord, fat and bone marrow, (can self-renew by dividing and can differentiate into multiple tissues including bone, cartilage, muscle and fat cells, and connective tissue).

Fat Cells yield the highest levels of autologous mesenchymal Stem cells found in the adipose tissue (Fat) along with growth factors. The wound healing will regenerate new fat cells from the stem cells and build new fat pads along with cell new growth collagen production, blood vessels, promote epithelial cell growth (Epithelial cells are a type of cell that lines the surfaces of your body), angiogenesis (the formation of new blood vessels), growth and new generation of keratinocytes (an epidermal cell which produces keratin), ascular endothelial and endothelial cells (Signals from endothelial cells organize the growth and development of connective tissue cells that form the surrounding layers of the blood-vessel wall). Stimulating collagenesis and hyaluronic acid content within aging skin will overcome these changes.

That means your skin will be naturally reproducing itself for months after the injections.

Bring up the Heat

Heating your blood plasma makes FILLERS last longer by several months

A crucial benefit of this treatment is that

the wound healing will regenerate new fat cells from the stem cells and build new fat pads along with cell new growth collagen production, blood vessels, promote epithelial cell growth, angiogenesis, growth and new generation of keratinocytes, ascular endothelial and endothelial cells.

That means your skin will be naturally reproducing itself for months after the injections.

A scientifically proven way to extend the life of natural facial fillers by creating an exclusive heating process. Heating of blood plasma extends the working properties of PRF by several months (also called e-PRF). While one of the previous limitations of PRP was its faster resorption rate when compared to PRF, the Bio-Heat system greatly extends the life of PRF allowing many patients to achieve results that elast between four and six months.

What Are the Benefits of Natural Facial Fillers (Bio-Fillers)?

The benefits offered by techniques that utilize natural solutions for facial rejuvenation are numerous, allowing patients to achieve a more youthful appearance and long-lasting results. Natural facial fillers can:

* Smooth away signs of wrinkles and creases along the forehead and between the eyebrows

* Smooth away signs of crow’s feet

* Fill in hollows under the eyes

* Enhance volume in the cheeks

* Minimize signs of nasolabial folds (lines between the nose and mouth)

* Minimize signs of “smoker’s” lines around the mouth

* Add volume and enhance contour in the lips

* Create more defined chin contours

* Enhance definition of the jawline

* Improve signs of mild acne scarring

* Enhance firmness

* Improve texture and tone

What Are the Advantages of the Bio-PRF Filler Technique for Aesthetic Facial Rejuvenation?

The Bio-PRF technique is an exciting new way for The Pout to perform the standard platelet-rich fibrin facial injection procedure. This procedure takes a genuine “beauty-from-within” approach to rejuvenate one’s appearance. Some of the many advantages of this method include:

* It is 100% autologous/natural

* No chemicals, additives, or traditional filler solutions are involved

* Encourages collagen production

* Minimally invasive

* Recovery time is typically less than 24 hours

What Can I Expect from the Results of Natural Facial Fillers?

The Bio-Filler protocol has resulted in positive outcomes and has proven to induce Collagen synthesis when it is implanted within the superficial layers of skin and into the dermis.  This special technology has the ability to form a stable clot following the heating process which provides superior volume enhancement which makes Fillers last longer by several months. Most patients can expect to see improvement in the treatment areas very soon after the initial treatment, with results continuing to improve in the days and weeks that follow as new collagen replenishes the skin. With this state-of-the art treatment technique, many individuals may experience results for four to six months after the procedure.

During its processing, PRF is heat-treated to extend its working properties making it readily available as a 100% natural injection material without foreign body materials or chemicals. This heating process extends the life of natural facial fillers.  The Platelets in PRF make many different “Growth Factors” that stimulate your skin naturally to make all the components to make your skin appear younger and healthier. Your skin will thrive as it makes more Collagen (to create

Lift), Fibrin (to improve texture), Elastin (to enhance elasticity), and Hyaluronic Acid (to restore Volume). By combining the Platelets with Fibrin, the platelets are able to live and perform their revitalizing function.

KYBELLA® is the only FDA-approved injectable treatment that destroys fat cells in the treatment area under the chin to improve your profile.

  • You’re bothered (unhappy, self-conscious, embarrassed) by fat under the chin, also known as submental fullness

  • You feel the condition makes you look older or heavier than you actually are

  • You don’t want to have surgery

  • You eat well and exercise, but submental fullness does not go away

    The active ingredient in KYBELLA

is synthetic deoxycholic acid. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. When injected into the fat beneath the chin, KYBELLA

destroys fat cells, resulting in a noticeable reduction in fullness under the chin. Once destroyed, these cells can no longer store or accumulate fat, so further treatment is not expected once you reach your desired aesthetic goal.

Since everyone’s chin profile is different, the number of treatments varies from patient to patient. We will help determine how many treatment sessions you need based on the amount and distribution of your submental fat and your personal treatment goals. Each KYBELLA

treatment session is given at least 1 month apart, and you should not receive more than 6 treatments. In clinical studies, 59% of patients received 6 treatments.

Deoxycholic acid works by destroying fat cells where it is injected into the body.

Deoxycholic acid is used to help decrease the appearance of fat that hangs below the chin, sometimes called a double-chin.

How is deoxycholic acid given?

Deoxycholic acid is injected under the skin directly into the area beneath your chin.

You may be treated with a topical numbing medicine or an ice pack to ease pain and make you comfortable during the injections.

Deoxycholic acid must be given in a series of up to 6 treatment sessions in order to be effective. You may receive up to 50 injections at each session.

Each treatment session should be spaced no less than 1 month apart. Many people have had visible results after 1 to 4 sessions.

AquaFacial is a resurfacing treatment that clears out your pores, plus it hydrates your skin. The four-step treatment includes cleansing, exfoliating, extractive, and hydrating the skin with serums that are infused into pores with the HydraPeel Tip, a pen-like device. "The serums have anti-aging and antioxidant properties and are tailored to address the specific needs of the patients,"

What Happens During the AquaFacial?

The HydraFacial treatment starts with cleansing by removing the dead skin cells and excess sebum from the skin. Next, a mix of salicylic and glycolic acids are applied to the skin to break up any dirt and oil that's clogging pores. Then, the HydraPeel Tip is used to essentially vacuum out blackheads, dirt, oil, and impurities, while hydrating, plumping, and nourishing serums are simultaneously applied to the skin.

What Are the AquaFacial  Skincare Benefits?

A AquaFacial treatment can improve your skin in a ton of ways. Its many benefits include a more hydrated, bright, plump, and clear complexion. Plus, it can also improve signs of aging. "The treatment reduces fine lines and wrinkles, increases firmness, evens tone, texture, and brown spots, as well as reducing enlarged pores”.

A chemical peel is a procedure in which a chemical solution is applied to the skin to remove the top layers. The skin that grows back is smoother. With a light or medium peel, you may need to undergo the procedure more than once to get the desired results.

Chemical peels are used to treat wrinkles, discolored skin and scars — usually on the face. They can be done alone or combined with other cosmetic procedures. And they can be done at different depths, from light to deep. Deeper chemical peels offer more-dramatic results but also take longer to recover from.

Why it's done

A chemical peel is a skin-resurfacing procedure. Depending on the issues you're addressing with the procedure, you'll choose a chemical peel in one of three depths:

  • Light chemical peel.

A light (superficial) chemical peel removes the outer layer of skin (epidermis). It's used to treat fine wrinkles, acne, uneven skin tone and dryness. You might have a light peel every two to five weeks.

  • Medium chemical peel.

A medium chemical peel removes skin cells from the epidermis and from portions of the upper part of your middle layer of skin (dermis). It's used to treat wrinkles, acne scars and uneven skin tone. You might need to repeat the procedure to achieve or maintain the desired result.

Dermaplaning is a skin treatment that uses an exfoliating blade to skim dead skin cells and vellus hair “ peach fuzz” from your face. Dermaplaning aims to make your skin’s surface smooth, youthful, and radiant.

Your skin is exposed daily to harsh environmental toxins, irritants, and sun damage. This can cause the top layer of your skin to appear dull, and it can make you look aged. Dermaplaning clears away those damaged skin cells so newer skin cells are what you see when you look in the mirror.
You may be advised to add a chemical peel to your dermaplaning treatment. Right after dermaplaning, your skin is able to deeply absorb and benefit from a chemical peel in a way it can’t at other times.

What is Hyaluronidase?

It is a naturally occurring enzyme that’s used to break down hyaluronic acid–based fillers.

The hyaluronic acid (HA) that’s the key ingredient in many dermal fillers is a polysaccharide that occurs naturally in the body. In skin, it resides in the extracellular matrix, alongside collagen, elastin, and connective tissue, to provide plumpness and structure—the very qualities you may desire when pursuing filler. However, if you’re unhappy with your HA filler results or are experiencing complications, the use of hyaluronidase can resolve the situation.

Hyaluronidases is able to dissolve subcutaneous nodules or to correct excessive quantities of injected filler.

How long does Hyaluronidase take to work?

It takes two the three days for hyaluronidase to break down filler, with most of the action happening within the first 24 hours. Over the next couple weeks, your body will continue to resorb the remaining hyaluronic acid molecules, after which you’ll see your final results.

For some patients, one round of injections is sufficient. For others, several rounds may be needed. A patient’s own body chemistry can impact the efficacy of or the speed at which the enzyme works.

Our blood is made of two main components, red blood cells, and plasma. The plasma contains white blood cells and platelets, which are rich in growth factors.

Growth factors, in a sense, play the role of messengers, signaling skin cells to function.

The use of PRP is "a great treatment option for hair loss because it increasing hair count, hair thickness, and the growth phase of the hair cycle.

I believe that combination treatments are providing the most substantive results for my patients." PRP "like MiracleGro" for the scalp in that "it amplifies the body's natural repair system" while stimulating growth.

For best results, consistency is key. Treatments are typically performed once a month for the first three to four months, and then every three to six months thereafter, depending on the individual patient's response and results. Following this protocol, anticipated results can first be seen within two to three months.

The healing power of light was first discovered by the American Aeronautics and Aerospace Program NASA, who explored the effects of LEDs and their therapeutic effects.

LED Light Therapy not only has a large impact on our mental health and biological clock. The various colours from the light spectrum can be used to treat various kinds of skin problems. Hospitals and medical centers around the world have already been using light therapy for years to treat and cure skin diseases and skin problems.

Light Therapy and your skin

Light is absorbed by the skin and triggers the cells into producing more cellular fuel (ATP). ATP boosts the skin’s performance and increases DNA-RNA activity and releases Nitric Oxide (NO) within the body. The increased activity and the release of NO helps the skin to heal, regenerate and combat inflammation. LED light therapy causes skin cells to use their energy to activate fibroblasts and produce more collagen and elastin proteins, and stimulate the body’s rejuvenating processes.

LED light therapy uses different colours and color combinations targeting various skin problems. Depending on the desired result, LED light therapy is combined with infrared (IR) for even better results.

Turn back the clock with Sculptra. FDA approved Sculptra filler treatments are safe, simple cosmetic injections that minimize the signs of aging by smoothing wrinkles and fine lines, while also restoring volume and fullness to the skin.

Sculptra What Is Sculptra Filler?Aesthetic is most commonly used on the face to restore volume and fullness to nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, and wrinkles around the nose and mouth, as well as chin wrinkles. It also used on other body areas for cellulite smoothing, wrinkles on the elbows and knees, and as a nonsurgical butt lifts.

Unlike an HA filler, Sculptra utilizes PLLA to stimulate your body to produce new collagen over time. The result? Soft, natural looking results that last up to two years.

Sculptra is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment that reduces wrinkles and facial lines while creating a fuller, more youthful appearance to your face. This FDA-approved facial and body injectable, also known as the “liquid facelift,” works deep within the dermis. It fills in lines and wrinkles, and stimulates your body to produce new collagen and underlying tissue, which gradually restores the fullness and smooth texture to areas of the face most affected by aging.

Sculptra for the Body

Sculptra is also used for body rejuvenation. It can be used to enhance the appearance of the buttocks while adding more volume and shape (nonsurgical butt lift), and decreasing the appearance of cellulite and dimpling overall.

Natural Collagen Booster

Because Sculptra is a collagen stimulator, it doesn’t provide the filling action. Instead, it causes a reaction in the skin which forms new collagen, resulting in natural-looking results. The Sculptra itself is absorbed by the tissue and is gone about two years after a treatment, but the new collagen layer that is left behind may last two or more years. As a non-invasive procedure, Sculptra is perfect for those who want to give their faces a fresh look without the stitches or risks associated with cosmetic surgery.

What Areas Does Sculptra Treat?

Sculptra is a dermal treatment, which means it is designed to primarily correct age-related appearance concerns. Areas on the mid-face that contribute the most to the visible signs of aging, including hollowing, depressions, fine lines, and jowling, will benefit from the injectable solution.

How Does Sculptra Filler Work?

Sculptra is composed of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a synthetic material that has been used for decades in dissolvable stitches, and soft tissue implants. Because it’s a biodegradable molecule, it is easily broken down and absorbed within the body. PLLA acts as a collagen stimulator, helping to gradually restore fullness to facial wrinkles and folds. This results in a softer and more youthful appearance.

Rebuild Collagen Structure Naturally

This is a dermal filler treatment, which means the treatment itself will require the use of a small, thin needle to inject the special treatment solution directly into the sub-dermal areas of the skin. Once injected into your skin, the microspheres are slowly absorbed and metabolized by the body, which results in increased collagen and elastin production deep within your skin to restore a youthful visage.

Patients who have sensitive skin or who are anxious about needles may choose to use a topical numbing cream prior to the procedure to ensure comfort for the duration of the treatment. Your treatment appointments will take about 30 minutes to complete, just like any other dermal filler.

treatment; however, optimal, long-lasting effects will not develop until an average of three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart.

The improvement will continue for four to six months, at which point your results should reach their peak. Because the results occur throughout a gradual timeframe, you won’t experience a sudden, unnatural appearance that may be associated with surgical treatments.

When Will I See Sculptra Results?

After your Sculptra treatment, you’ll notice your skin’s elasticity gradually improving as it reaches a more youthful texture. You may see some improvements within the first week of treatment; however, optimal, long-lasting effects will not develop until an average of three sessions spaced four to six weeks apart.

How Many Sculptra Sessions Will I Need?

For ideal results, you will need three Sculptra sessions spaced four to six weeks apart. For long-term results, Sculptra really beats out the competition of other HA fillers on the market. Most fillers require maintenance injections every 6 to 9 months. However, the majority of patients see their Sculptra results last anywhere from one to two years.

Generally, one maintenance treatment per year is needed — usually with a smaller amount of product — to preserve seamless results.

Sculptra results can last more than two years, according to the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery.

Lip Blush is a great way to enhance your lips by implanting beautifully colored pigments into the uppermost lip tissue. Flawless Symmetry will be able to redefine the lip borders and add a flush of color to bring life back into the lips. Lip blush is a natural and watercolor effect, not a lipstick effect. This application typically lasts 2-3 years. Before Your Appointment Your lips cannot be dry for the appointment. We advise exfoliating your lips 3 days before your appointment to remove any dry skin. You can use a lip scrub or create your own by using salt or sugar mixed in coconut oil. For the week leading up to the appointment, you must moisturize your lips as much as possible (we recommend using Aquaphor multiple times per day).

COLD SORES Cold sores are a risk of lip blush tattoo only if you have had them in the past. If you have had a cold sore in the past, we advise for you to go to the doctor for an anti-viral medication prior to any lip procedure as a preventative. This must be taken 4 days before, the day of, and 4 days after your procedure. Even if you have not had a cold sore before, we recommend all clients take L-lysine 2 weeks before the appointment and 2 weeks following the appointment to reduce their risk of a possible outbreak.2 Months Before: No Antibiotics4 Weeks Before: No filler or injections in or around the lips. No chemical peels or laser skin resurfacing.2 Weeks Before: Discontinue Retin-A, AHA/BHA’s, or any skin care products that encourage exfoliation around the mouth area.48 Hours Before: Avoid all blood thinners such as aspirin, ibuprofen, caffeine, coffee, tea, smoking, alcohol, soda, niacin, vitamin E, Advil, fish oil, etc.Menstrual Cycle: Please note, you will be more sensitive during your cycle due to hormones in the body.Skin Conditions: If you have any skin conditions, you are required to have a letter from your doctor saying it is okay to proceed with lip blushing.Optional: Take Arnica pills before and after your procedure to help with healing. Extra strength Tylenol can be taken if you have a low pain tolerance. After Your AppointmentFluids will leak from your lips to form scabs. You do not want these fluids to sit on your tattoo and form these scabs. For the first two days, you will want to wipe your tattoo every few hours with a wet cotton round and pat the area dry to ensure no fluids sit and form scabs.Your lips will be swollen for the first 24 hours and take about 5 days to heal. During this time, your lips will shed, feel dry, and look patchy. The color will fade about 40% after the first few days. You may ice the skin if it is feeling tender after the procedure. Wrap an ice pack or a ziplock bag of ice in a napkin and place it on the area for 30-second increments.Apply Aquaphor on your lips several times a day. This should be done for at least 14 days post-treatment. Do not allow lips to become dry but do not overdo the Aquaphor. This may interfere with healing. Just pat a rice-grain size of ointment on the lip and do not rub in. Always use a clean Q-tip or clean/sanitized fingers to apply ointment to the lips area. This will reduce the risk of infection. Lip Blush is affected by the canvas (your skin) that they are performed on. Lifestyle, medications, smoking, metabolism, facial surgery, other procedures, and age of the skin all contribute to fading and outcome. Every individual’s skin is different; therefore, the initial application is always applied conservatively. The final color can be adjusted during a second session appointment. The lip blushing procedure is not complete after the first initial session. A second session appointment is required approximately 6-8 weeks after your first initial application to ensure longevity and best results. Please remember that individual results will vary from person to person.Though rare, infection is possible if aftercare is not handled correctly and with caution. If you see signs of infection, such as persistent increased redness or swelling, fever, drainage, or oozing, please contact your doctor immediately.

  • Apply sunblock on your lips or O’Keeffe’s Lip Repair with SPF 35 if you are going to be under direct sunlight.

  • Avoid Retin-A, AHA/BHA’s, and exfoliants on the lips. These can cause pigments to fade and lighten prematurely.

  • Avoid tanning beds.

  • Periodic touch-ups will ensure long-lasting results.

  • You can resume wearing lipstick once your lips are healed.

Healing Schedule + Expectations You should expect to lose approximately 40-60% of the initial color during the healing process. In approximately 3 days, your lips will appear lighter. After about 2 weeks, the color will gradually resurface. They will appear softer once you have completely healed. The mouth is a breeding ground for bacteria, so it is extremely important to keep the area clean.DAY 1 Lips are darker and intense than expected healed results right after the procedure. During the next hour, lips will continue appearing darker than the expected results. All clients will have moderate swelling and tightness after the procedure. DAY 2Swelling will subside. Lips will feel a little tender and tight. Lips will be dry. DAY 3Shedding begins. Lips will start to lighten in color. DAY 4 - 6Lips will continue to lighten and shed. DAY 5 - 7Shedding should be complete. WEEK 2 - 4 The color will lighten then darken day by day. The true color will surface at the one-month mark. Your lips will heal in three stages: Too dark - Too light - Just right. This takes one month to occur from start to finish.*If there are any freckles on the lips, they may appear darker during the healing process but will fade back to normal once healing is complete.*For those who have a thin, white border around their lips, it may appear darker (like lip liner), but will fade and can be corrected during the second session.

What is PlasmaSculpt® and how does it work?

PlasmaSculpt® Facial Rejuvenation is a procedure with a unique combination of Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) and Sculptra. These two collagen stimulators are combined into one procedure and applied to targeted regions of the face through fine needles and cannulas. The treatment stimulates collagen and elastin, as well as your body’s natural support structure to reconstruct more youthful looking skin and volume.

What is PRF and why combine PRF with Sculptra?

PRF is a natural product created from your own body’s blood. When injected into specific areas of the skin, it promotes your own collagen to grow and regenerate tissue, naturally smoothing and tightening skin, softening wrinkles, and improving skin texture and tone. We strategically mix our concentrations, and plan the depths and placements for a safe and effective outcome. Traditional fillers do not occur naturally in our bodies. Some can even be rejected, especially with long term usage.

Fillers are instant, and therefore obvious, leaving many looking ‘filled’ and overdone. Plasmasculpt® works over time with the body’s natural process. So unlike traditional fillers, there are no obvious lines where PlasmaSculpt® treatments are placed.

Is PlasmaSculpt® Facial Rejuvenation right for you?

PlasmaSculpt® is right for you if you are looking for a natural way to enhance your appearance. You WILL look younger with PlasmaSculpt®! You will have tighter skin, increased elasticity, a healthy glow, and a natural looking, youthful end result.

What to expect before your procedure?

The consult is crucial to ensure your aesthetic goals can be addressed safely. During this time, we will assess and review your medical history.  The treatment, expectations, and aftercare of the procedure will also be discussed. If our assessment determines that you’re an excellent candidate for PlasmaSculpt®, a unique treatment plan will be created just for you!

What to expect during your treatment?

Most people report little to no discomfort at all. Your comfort is our priority, and topical anesthesia can be applied if desired. The PlasmaSculpt® treatment uses a combination of fine needles and MicroCannula injections to ensure adequate placement of product and less risk for bruising.

What to expect after your treatment?

The results produced are yours to keep, and touch ups are typically done every 2 years depending on one’s lifestyle and natural aging process. Additional PlasmaSculpt® packages can be added for further results. Some patients may experience swelling, bruising, or pain at the injection sites that typically subside within a few days.

What results can you expect from the PlasmaSculpt® Facial Rejuvenation treatment?

Most important is the mixing concentrations, depths and strategic placement for a safe and effective outcome. The visible effects may begin subtly as early as 2 weeks but more reliably at 2 months. Then, over the subsequent 3-6 months, final results are obtained. Many people may be happy with just one session but three treatment sessions are generally recommended, spaced 1-2 months apart, to achieve the best outcome.

How long will your results last?

Every patient is unique and results can typically last anywhere between 2-7 years. The longevity of your results depends on the quality of the existing skin, tissue laxity and surrounding bone loss. Traditional fillers typically last three to six months.

How long does the treatment last?

During your treatment, most of the time is taken to further educate you on the PlasmaSculpt® procedure and how to achieve your desired results. Our PlasmaSculpt treatment can last anywhere between 60-90 minutes from start to finish.

Is there downtime after the treatment?

After your PlasmaSculpt® Facial Rejuvenation treatment, some patients may experience swelling, bruising, or pain at the treatment site that may subside within a few days to a week.
